Hello everyone.
Very quick update today.
I am not sure if I have mentioned it on the blog before or not, but I am engaged to be married on August 7th!
Right now (literally RIGHT now) my beautiful fiance and I are in the process of also packing and moving out of our apartment into a new place before the wedding.
I know there has been a lack of updates lately here on NSJ, and this has been the primary culprit. Lack of time due to the move and wedding.
Please be aware that I have BIG plans for The Niche Store Journey in the future, and plan to keep bringing you guys stellar content on a regular basis, but it may take a while for me to settle back into a normal posting schedule. I hope you can understand why I am needing to take some time away!
So I hope you will continue to stay subscribed to the RSS feed, and check out the updates as they come (infrequently for the next little while, and then more often as the summer goes on).
I also want to make note that the Thesis Wordpress Theme Cash Back Rebate Offer is still going strong, with over 30 loyal readers taking advantage to this point! It is not too late to get in on this wonderful deal!
Please feel free to comment here on the blog or shoot me an email if you need to get in touch with me, I will still be checking those frequently.
As I said, I have some really cool post series and video ideas cooked up for the Niche Store Journey once I am back “in the saddle” here. Once again, I ask for your continued loyalty and patience as I take care of this very special and important phase of my “real life”!
My most sincere thanks:
Tyler Jonsson

In my opinion you are making a huge mistake… not the wedding thing mind you. Momentum is hard to get and even harder to maintain. Everyone has things in one’s life always going on or serving as a distraction, some things more important than others. I think you will find sleeping one less hour a night or giving up an hour of something else will give you an hour you can devote to your blog or business. It is your business though, so I will leave it at that. Best of luck with the move and the wedding.
Soggy Dave
Hey there Dave, thanks for chiming in!
As I have told you before, I have a ton of respect for you and your blog. You are very consistently putting out awesome content and I read each and every post!
I completely agree with you, momentum is very tough in this business indeed! That is why I held off from simply saying “until further notice, the blog is on hiatus”. I will still be posting here, and working on my various internet projects behind the scenes during this time.
But as a college student, going through a very special and “once-in-a-lifetime” season of life, I needed to set some priorities for myself. In this one particular instance, money and business success took a backseat to the happiness of my family and my fiance.
I am hoping that I *will* have that hour or so a day to make posts as you suggest! I just did not want to leave the blog looking abandoned if that did not end up happening. Better to be honest and real with your readers than trying to put up a false front in my opinion.
Again though, I know your comments come from a good place, and your help has been invaluable to me in the past, and I thank you for it, and look forward to more in the future!
Tyler,
First, congratulations on the wedding!!! That’s wonderful, and I wish you and your bride-to-be a life of love and happiness.
Sure, momentum is difficult to maintain, but the thing about life is that there will always be something thrown at you to kick you off course for a while. A wedding. A baby (or two or three). An illness. A natural disaster.
When life happens, it then becomes a matter of how much you want it to get back on course, to return as best as possible, to where you were before.
This is coming from my experience. As you recall, we were flooded last August, and out of our house for over five months. Repairs to the house continue to this day.
This has meant that I’ve had to deal with working on my house (both major and minor stuff), doing my “day” job (which I can actually do at any time, since it is a work-from-home job, but that actually makes it a bit tougher because I don’t have to clock in), take care of my two children, keep my house in order (laundry, cleaning, etc.), AND work on my online stuff.
Yes, my momentum was lost. It was unavoidable. But, I was dedicated to getting back to it and here I am. If you want it bad enough, you will get back to it is my point.
To your impending nuptials and success,
Rochelle
