Candles For Cure Case Study

Hello everyone, and welcome to the launch of the Candles For Cure Case Study!

I want for this blog series to be of benefit to anyone who is thinking of starting their own small business primarily, but also for those of you who are solely interested in all the various aspects of Internet niche marketing.

Throughout the coming weeks, I will be taking you through the journey that I went on in the launching of my small business “Candles For Cure”.  From the initial concept, to the website going live and beyond, I will walk you through my thought processes so you can learn from my successes as well as my failures.

In an upcoming post, I will also give out details of a contest that will be running here on the Niche Store Journey which will reward some lucky winners with some Candles For Cure candles!

Starting with the first in-depth case study post, there will be a new base page for the case study, so that you can instantly see anything you may have missed or go back and re-read past posts without having to search for the one you are looking for.

As you will discover when I announce the details of the contest, I am very anxious to grow my readership during this case study.  My aim is to create a valuable resource for others who are considering doing something similar to what I have done, and I hope that in doing so the comments and participation on the Niche Store Journey will soar!

Now that you have an idea of some of my goals and aspiration for this case study series, let me give you a little bit of background on the focus of the study: Candles For Cure.

A good deal of more in depth information will be given during the first few case study posts, so I will leave this to be brief.  Candles For Cure is a home based small business which sells home-made candles both over the Internet as well as “off-line”.  20% of the proceeds from the sale of every candle is donated directly to the Alzheimer’s Association.

As I will detail in future case study posts, the Candles For Cure website is still very much a work in progress (in fact I just re-themed it yesterday).  I will be sure to let you all know exactly how the site is progressing design wise as well as business wise!

I am very excited about this journey we will all be taking together, I hope you all enjoy learning from the work I have put in this last year on my business.

Lastly, before signing off until the first series post, I would like to encourage you all to please actively participate in this case study!  Is there something you are not clear on?  Ask me!  Is there an area which interests you more than another?  Let me know!  I can assure you that I will custom tailor posts to make them the most beneficial to you as they can be!

The series will follow a posting schedule of a minimum of 1 new post per week.  If you read my previous update on the status of the case study, then you are aware that on top of acting in a touring play production and full time student status, I also recently got engaged!  So needless to say, as much as I would love to add a post a day, it simple is not realistic and I want the posts to be as high quality as possible for you all!

I look forward to getting started, and hope you do as well!
