Hello everybody.  First of all I want to throw out a quick personal update.  As some of you may or may not be aware, my area of collegiate study as well as my “day-job” is that of an actor.  I am currently in rehearsals for a production of “All My Sons” by Arthur Miller which runs Halloween weekend here in L.A.

So please excuse my recent lack of updates for a few weeks longer, as my schedule is very hectic at the moment!

To the business at hand today:  Yahoo search engine.

If you are like me, and have been hit by the recent Google Deindexing, you may be wondering what other avenues you can pursue.  My feeling on this matter is this…

If you had a site which was performing well, converting quality sales and getting good traffic, you can always re-submit your site the Google-gods and hope that they take pity on your weak mortal soul…  Short of that miracle happening, you simply have to re-strategize your marketing efforts.  I have found in recent weeks that my sites which had high volumes of Google traffic, have had nearly Yahoo traffic rise nearly as high since my de-indexing.

Perhaps it just took Yahoo a while to crawl my sites, perhaps other forces came into the equation, I cannot quite pinpoint the reasons.  The results however are encouraging for those of us backhanded by Google.  If we find ourselves in the dark with Google, Yahoo (and MSN) provide reasonable alternatives to getting a respectable amount of traffic.

Over the coming weeks I will be doing further analysis of the effectiveness of marketing to Yahoo, and how best to get indexed and ranked in their engine.

As long as we employ some strategy and persistence, I am very convinced that we, as BANS users and Niche Store Builders will come out of this current slump stronger than ever!

Let me know of any trials and tribulations you have had with Google, as well as any success with Yahoo!
